The trumpet was the main interest my dad and I had in common when it came to music. My dad played trumpet in high school. I played that same trumpet in high school and college. In fact I still play it every year in my high school alumni marching band.
So it was only natural for him to have tons of albums featuring trumpet players.
In this episode, I will introduce the first of many trumpet players included in my dad’s collection. This includes one of the very first recordings of my dad’s all time favorite singer.
