Spread the love

Yes…I knew he had this album. Yes…I listened to it every once in a while. Yes…there is an extra special connection to my father. Not because of this album. But because of how important the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was to me and my brothers growing up. And how often we listened to the race each year on the radio.

This will be a special format episode. Between segments of the album, I will read from an essay I wrote in a college creative writing class in 1995. Yes…when I was 33. Yes…as my radio career was winding down.

So get ready to turn left 800 times with Volume 22: The Indy 500.

You can read the entire essay here.
